How do i get good marks in science even when i hate it?

I hate science. My primary and secondary school teachers have never made me interested in it. It is always confusing and they always deduct so many marks for using a wrong word and u have to explain every detail even for a one mark question. U also need to aply wht u learn and i am bad at that. I always get low marks for science. There is sooooo much memorising to do!!! I hate it yet i want to do well in it. Many pple say tht math and science are related. I love math but hate science. How can it be so? I normally get A+ for math. Any science teachers or excellent science students can help me?

find some interesting facts in science and find thing like experiments to make you interest in it….. i used to hate it before.. it just takes the will to have interest in it.. and if you don't understand you can ask the teacher to make it all easier for you

How does a science technician work safely in the Lab?

How does a science technician work safely in the Lab?
What precautions are in place to make the Lab. a safe working environment for the science technician?
What are the various methods of monitoring that the safety precautions put in place are effective?
What are the legal regulations designed to protect the science technicians?

Most precautions in the lab are either engineering solutions (well-designed ventilation fume hoods), or a matter of wearing appropriate personal protective equipment ("PPE"). The latter being things like appropriate gloves (latex, rubber, nitrile, etc), safety glasses/goggles, lab coats, potentially dust masks or air respirators. These are the most common safety precautions in place for chemistry labs in industry and academia.

How can we raise science literacy in the United States?

Posted on September 29, 2008
By admin in Uncategorized

It's purely antecdotal but it feels like the amount of science literacy has gotten worse in recent years. What can we do to reverse that trend? Should we throw money at it? Give incentives to schools that do well in science? Make the standardized tests harder? More scholarships for science majors? Start a new PR campaign that makes science cool? Have the government appoint someone as a Science Ambassador? What do you think would work best?

Science, below the college level at least, is usually taught as a series of facts instead of a process, and kids don't get much, if any, exposure to how to DO science. That needs to change, but it won't as long as the schools have to prepare for standardized tests that test your memorization of facts, not your actual understanding.

What is more important; science or a temperament and attitude towards science?

What is more important to the self; science or a temprament and attitude of science in self.

Is there any science which can help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of self to enable and empower the self with an attitude and a temprament of science.

What is this science; where can it be known and studied; how can it be practised. Can this science also help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of any type and kind.
Can we also use this science to help ourselves for enabling and empowering ourselves with that knowledge and wisdom which had been the cause, purpose, and reason of the existance, presence and working of self and the religion and god of self.

It's either way too early in the morning for me to comprehend what you just typed, or it's utter gibberish.

"Is there any science which can help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of self to enable and empower the self with an attitude and a temprament of science.
Can this science also help the self to enable and empower itself with knowledge and wisdom of any type and kind."

This hurts my head.

What is mathematics and computer science?

Posted on September 28, 2008
By admin in Uncategorized

Hi,

Mathematics and computer science are not natural sciences, applied sciences (technology) or social sciences.
So, what kind of sciences are they?

I found out that they may belong to constructive sciences or formal science but I am not sure.

PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WITH LINKS.

Thanks.

Mathematics, which is sometimes classified within a third group of science called formal science, has both similarities and differences with the natural and social sciences.[2] It is similar to empirical sciences in that it involves an objective, careful and systematic study of an area of knowledge; it is different because of its method of verifying its knowledge, using a priori rather than empirical methods.[4] Formal science, which also includes statistics and logic, is vital to the empirical sciences. Major advances in formal science have often led to major advances in the physical and biological sciences. The formal sciences are essential in the formation of hypotheses, theories, and laws,[5] both in discovering and describing how things work (natural sciences) and how people think and act (social sciences).

Cognitive science is a rapidly evolving field that deals with complex cognitive processes, intelligent systems, and the emergent behavior of large-scale real-world computational systems. It is an interdisciplinary study. It draws from converging evidence and methodology of diverse fields, including psychology, physics, neuroscience, philosophy, information science, COMPUTER SCIENCE, anthropology and linguistics. The term cognitive science was coined by Christopher Longuet-Higgins in his 1973 commentary on the Lighthill report, which concerned the then-current state of Artificial Intelligence research. In the same decade, the journal Cognitive Science and the Cognitive Science Society began.

good enough..?

How do you hook up 3 computers to the same internet connection?

Posted on September 24, 2008
By admin in computers

I have been trying to look for some information about it on google but offered no help. So I thought I would ask here. But I have 3 computers that i want to hook up to the same internet connection via DSL the confusing part is 2 of them are regular desktops and one is a laptop that can have wireless. Two of the computers are upstairs so i don’t see how it is possible without wires going everywhere. PLEASE HELP! Any Information is well Appreciated.

What brand/model DSL modem? If your DSL modem only has a single port, it might only support 1 computer by itself even if it is a modem/router that handles the PPPoE.

The simple way if you had a phone line upstairs would be to put the modem and added broadband wireless router near the 2 PC’s. If you cannot do that, you might need both a wireless router and something to wirelessly bridge that to the 2 PC’s.

Many ISP’s have an option to get a DSL modem that is a wireless router all in one unit. I have one of those, so I use a Zyxel P-330W router (which has 4 ethernet ports) in “wireless client bridge mode” to remotely connect my wired desktop and old laptop to that. Not all routers can act as a wireless client or bridge (most Linksys routers need 3rd party dd-wrt firmware to do that).

Another option is to get a wireless USB device for each desktop.

A regular wireless bridge is probably more expensive and only has 1 port, which would also require a switch for 2 PC’s
